YTM, Cendana transform Muzium Telekom into general public digital art space

YAYASAN Telekom Malaysia (YTM) is usually collaborating with the Cultural Market Development Company (Cendana) to transform Muzium Telekom into an engaging open public digital skill space through Travel Motion Through Time within Fine art In The City’s Inaugural KLWKND.

Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin (picture)  stated KLWKND is defined to transform downtown Kuala Lumpur into a vibrant hub for ingenuity, arts and culture with various actions planned, through the entire four-day program from Nov 25 to 28, 2021.

He explained the programme is portion of the ongoing objective of YTM to preserve and celebrate the nation’s arts, customs and heritage through the marriage of technology and arts incorporating dance, music, opera, fashion, architecture, food, visual arts, design, imaginative products, traditional crafts, literature and record.

“That is a good effort where we are able to attract local and worldwide travellers in order that we can improve the creative sector and bring it to the international level. With this, we can increase the economy regarding gross domestic merchandise.

“Your choice to reopen the arts and lifestyle sector in most claims which are put under Period Four of the National Recovery Program (NRP) has given adequate space for arts activists to come back to actively boost the industry when various incidents are re-implemented,” he explained today.

Meanwhile, Cendana CEO Izan Satrina Mohd Sallehuddin explained YTM aimed to reinvigorate the historic setting up as an engaging hub that links the dots over the many facets within the TM Group.

She said YTM is committed to the Group’s aspiration of allowing an electronic Malaysia via our three pillars of Education, Community and Nation-Building as well as Tourism, Culture and Heritage.

“The 3rd pillar is dedicated to the sustainable production of Malaysian arts, way of life and creative ventures. This is a necessary part of the preservation and special event of our nation’s heritage but also an integral foundation to building our future.

“YTM’s purpose is in connecting the dots between your youth, talent and creativity to skills creation, digital chances and collaborative partners; concentrating on expanding traditional articles and products to digital systems and solutions. Imagination and innovation are not merely confined to some sector as they are relevant across all aspects along with being a key existence skill.

“This must be nurtured and reinforced by all stakeholders for the betterment of culture. Malaysia has a wealth of skill, creativity and innovation nonetheless it needs due attention and support to grow further more and make a much greater mark on the globe,” she explained.
